On March 11-12, 2016, 30 MBA students from 15 different schools came together for the MBArk program at Expo West – our largest and most successful program ever! Also participating were 7 MBA alumni, and 22 CEOs or top executives from 17 different companies around the natural products industry – not to mention an inadvertent drive-by from the legendary 87-year-old Bob Moore of Bob’s Red Mill, who told the group that if they create companies with the goal of selling them, and pursue traditional business school tactics, “I’ll haunt ya’!”
On September 22-24, 2016, we ran the MBArk program at Expo East in Baltimore. This was the first time for MBArk at East, and it was a smashing success – with 25 students representing 14 different schools in attendance, and a kick-ass group of CEO speakers including Paddy Spence of Zevia, Greg Steltenpohl of Califia Farms, Naomi Whittel of TwinLab, Walter Robb of Whole Foods Market, Matthew Sade of Kite Hill, Hillary Lewis of Lumi, Mark Retzloff of Horizon Organic and Alfalfa’s, Kirsten Quigley of LunchSkins, Linda Boardman of Branch Brook Holdings, and Nikhil Arora of Back to the Roots.
